Conor Brennan Western Canadian Artist
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba my wife and I packed up and headed west not long after our son was born in 2012. We landed in Lethbridge, Alberta with the hopes of raising a family in a relaxed, friendly
environment near the mountains.
With a love for photography and a natural talent for drawing, it was always in my mind to develop further as an artist and take up painting. About the age of thirty I picked up a brush and began a new path.
Although I've never felt inclined to stick with one subject, always wanting to try something different, most of my work is western in nature. From the prairies across The Rockies to the coast, it's an extension of the different environments I've found myself in over the years as well as the many excursions up into the mountains with the chance encounters of wildlife.
As an artist I tend to create works of simple subject matter with an up close, intimate look at whatever captures my attention. I try to use as much detail as I can with a realistic approach to painting. It's a never ending learning process in the pursuit of making great art that everyone can enjoy for years to come.
